If you have any issues with your ignition interlock, look at our quick solution guide. Whenever see any of the following messages on your ignition interlock's display follow this guide:

Blow Longer:

  • Means you didn't blow long enough.
  • Press the OK button and the Ignition Interlock will prepare to test again.
  • Take the test again and blow until the buzzer sounds.

Blow Stronger:

  • Means you didn't blow hard enough.
  • Press the OK button and the Ignition Interlock will prepare to test again.
  • Take the test again and blow a little harder.

Suck After Blow:

  • Means that you didn't do the suck back correctly.
  • Press the Ok button and the Ignition Interlock will prepare to test again.
  • Take the test again and perform a sharp suck-back when the tone stops. Suck until a beep sounds.

Temporary Lockout:

  • Means that you either missed a retest OR failed a re/test.
  • Look at the remaining time displayed on the Ignition Interlock, wait for it to reach 0.
  • Once the timer has expired you can try to test again.
  • You are not required to retest immediately after a temporary lockout.

Service Required in X Amount of Days:

  • Means that your next calibration appointment is approaching.
  • You will see this 7 days (a week) before your scheduled appointment.
  • The day of your appointment your Ignition Interlock will read "Service Required Today".

Device Lockout in X Amount of Days:

  • Means that you either missed your scheduled appointment OR exceeded the allowed number of failed tests.
  • Bring your vehicle before the days shown on the Ignition Interlock's display expire.
  • If you do not bring your vehicle in for service, you will see "Device Lockout" (see below).

Device Lockout:

  • Means that you either missed your scheduled appointment OR Ignored a "Device Lockout in X Amount of Days" message (see above).
